Aquacel Ag Dressings are primary wound dressings made of Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose (NaCMC) with 1.2% silver in ionic form. The NaCMC used in these dressings is produced in the form of textile fibre and presented in the form of fleece held by needle bonding. AQUACEL® Ag Foam dressings give you: A waterproof top layer that permits evaporation of excess moisture while protecting against viral/bacterial A soft, absorbent foam pad to enhance patient comfort and absorb excess fluid A Hydrofiber ® layer with ionic silver that gels on contact with wound AQUACEL ® Ag Dressing is not a drug • In all of our silver products, the anti-microbial activity occurs within the dressing.
